Alan Hudson (my Dad) was taken into hospital on 19/3/07 having suffered a brain hemorrhage, unfortunately he never regained consciousness, they turned off his life support machine on 22/3/07 he had recently turned 60 on 5th January and was in very good health other than a persistent cough which was down to years of smoking.Years ago I told my Dad that he wasn't only my Dad but also my best friend, I just found out from his girlfriend (Linda) that he used to brag to his mates about that all the time.I did magic at his 60th birthday party and afterwards he told me about his work colleagues telling him how good I was and how much I'd made them laugh, he told me he was very proud of me and hearing that made me very happy.I have a video of one of my earliest gigs on stage and my Dad was in the audience and after I told a gag the whole place erupted in laughter but you can hear my Dads laugh over the top of everyone else's and every time I show people that video I always say can you hear that? That's my Dad.
I love you Dad, I will miss you loads and I have nothing but happy memories of you, I've been laughing loads over the past few days thinking of the times we spent together getting plastered and playing pool in the Top club.Here's a video of my Dad listen to his distinctive laugh because that is what I remember most about him and after that there's a few pics.
