Toronto born Knifehandchop mixes elements of electro, techno, hip hop, booty, house and dancehall reggae, with one aim in mind, destroying any and all dance floors that he's placed infront of. As those that have witnessed him live will testify, his command and inevitable conquer of a club, field, or living room has to be seen to be believed, we first booked him back in 2002 and since then he's gone from strength to strength, his most recent and maybe most notable acheivement being the huge remix of 'Thou Shalt Always Kill' by Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip.......Before this he already had swathes of releases to his name, on the likes of Death$ucker, Irritant, and Kid 606's Tigerbeat6 label, on which he released two full albums and countless 12" singles, including the peerless booty anthem 'Dirty New York. Having also teamed up with Modeselektor for a split release on Shockout it seems there is no limit to his versatility. Fans include Mary Anne Hobbs, who had him record a session for her Breezeblock show in 2004, which led her to report straight after the airing of the session that it had 'given her a nose bleed'. Also in on the act was the late and great John Peel, who had Knifehandchop record a session for his hugely influential show in 2003.......Aswell as performing his Live show for us, Knifehandchop has decided to treat us to an EXCLUSIVE half hour 'Gabber Rave' DJ set, which he promises he will not be doing in any other venue on his European tour. DO NOT. MISS THIS.......Also playing on the night will be Irritant records head honcho and purveyor of mentalist ravecore 'Pisstank'. He was the man who gave Knifehandchop his first 7" release, first album release and first visit to the UK. Having got behind releases by acts such as Kid606, DJ Scud, Deacon Boombastardizer, Duran Duran Duran and electro pioneer Captain Ahab, it's clear to see he knows his stuff. As a producer in his own right he's had releases on Kid606's hardcore empire 'Tigerbeat6', his own Irritant imprint, and most recently his 'Ravecore Anthems' 12" was released on Death$uckers vital 'Cock Rock Disco' imprint. So now it's clear why we used to send him cheques in the post begging for new releases, and why you'll be turning up on the 7th to witness him bring, the fucking, noise.......Local support comes from up and coming Techno star 'Bill', and Oldskool mangler 'Aems', having witnessed them control floors at Detox and Regeneration respectively we've invited them to bring their own brands of body moving to this one off spectacular, see you at the bar.
