Newcastle Underground brings you the freshest local talent from Newcastle's underground dance scene. Expect to hear cutting edge music from some of newcastle's most established and open minded talent along with some new names to watch out for in the future.

The music will vary from night to night but will be based around the genres of Techno, Breaks, Minimal Techno, Electro and Prog. Hopefully supplying something for everyones individual taste and interests.

Newcastle Underground now runs on the second thursday of every month in the Cooperage, located on Newcastle's Quayside

Influences:
The music played on the night will vary slightly from month to month but is influenced by resident DJs and promoters of the night.
Will Reed aka My Tech Friend = a blend of smooth and glitchy Minimal/Techno with a touch of Prog and Tech House. Influences include James Holden, Repeat Repeat and Eddie Halliwell.
Dave Shannon = Wonky high octain Techno with a blend Electro and Minimal, with influences from the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Ben Sims and Ian Brown
Nick Rodger = the North's equivalent of James Zabiela, playing technically minded Dj sets full of tricks, loops and FX, based around the genres of Breaks and House with an electronic and soulful twist. Influences include Rik Parkinson, Lee Burridge, Digweed and Funk D'Void.
Gary C = an open minded Dj playing Everything and anything that takes his fancy bases around his main Genres of Prog, Techno and Breaks, with influences from artists and DJs such as The Chemical Brothers, Steve Lawler and Timo Mass
