Blues Today for a Brighter Tomorrow

About Me

Honoring America's LegendsWelcome to the official Myspace Community of The Blue Shoe Project, the non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of America's Music.Who we are: About The Blue Shoe Project The Blue Shoe Project - a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization - was founded with the mission of educating the coming generations on the importance of Blues and American roots music. The musical genres that fall within the category of “American roots” have left an indelible mark on the evolution of music world-wide and continue to influence countless artists.
Blues is a music genre that has empowered the powerless and given artists the means to express themselves in a non-violent form through voice and instrumentation. Blues is the real American Tale as it was lived. If there were no history books, the bluesman's tale would recount the struggles and triumphs that America progressed through to achieve its greatness.

What we do:

The Blue Shoe Project furthers its educational mission through first-hand artist interaction and by providing high-quality arts education programming at little or no cost to students. Since the inception of The Blue Shoe Project we have conducted over thirty-five high quality programs with local, regional, and national artists throughout The Dallas/Fort-Worth area. These events have gained national media attention and garnered a strong and dedicated audience following.

How you can Help:
