Manchester animal protection society is a grass roots animal rights group located in Manchester in the north west of england.We have a long and proud history of animal activism against all areas of animal abuse .We campaign peacefully both locally and nationally against the following.VIVISECTIONWe are opposed to all animal experimentation on both ethical and scientific grounds. We actively campaign locally and nationally against vivisection and support the ongoing campaigns to close down vivisection laboratories and animal suppliers. Cruelty free products - If you are opposed to animal experiments then the main thing to do is to cut animal tested products out of your life. It is a myth that animal tested products are more difficult or expensive to buy than none animal tested ones.FACTORY FARMINGThe farming of animals for food is the most widespread form of animal abuse. We actively promote the vegetarian/vegan diet as the best way to eliminate animal cruelty from your lifestyle.CIRCUSES AND ZOOSWe are opposed to all forms of keeping animals in captivity and we demonstrate regularly against circuses and zoos.FURThe fur trade is responsible for the deaths of 40 million animals every year. We campaign actively against fur and hold regular protests outside shops selling fur in the region.HUNTINGWe are against all forms of bloodsports.
