I've always loved music and singing, at least as far back as I can remember...
Music has been a massive part of my life from as early as I can remember. As a child, my Mam and I would sing together whilst carrying out the household chores every Sunday. Music by Doris Day, Queen, Eddie Reader, Nancy Griffith and an array of Disney classics were our favourites to sing along to, all of which
later influenced my taste in music and the style of music I write; though it was the discovery of Joni Mitchell that helped shape me most, and in turn my music.
I write about the world around me and the world inside my head… growing up, falling in and out of love, dreams, discovery, and the intricacies of life. Most songs begin as poems which are moulded to fit the shape of a riff or melody with the aim of creating dynamic, textured compositions with the ability to convey a personal experience or message with words and music.
In the past year some of the artists I have supported include: I Am Kloot, Martin Stephenson, The Young Republic, Boo Hewerdine, Hush The Many, Euros Childs, Andy White, Jake Shillingford to name but a few.

QUOTES
"Peforming contemporary folk and mellow acoustic music with a floaty, free flowing guitar style and stunning voice, Suzanne really stands out. Her songs are emotional and personal with poetic and often story telling lyrics. Her influences include Joni Mitchell, Kate Rusby, John Martyn, Eva Cassidy and Ani DiFranco."

"When she moved to the keyboard, the songs became a whole lot more complex but more intriguing. The audience was so gripped, the ride became really rewarding. Songs like Ghost, Canoe and Gepetto's Boy twist and turn on the way to an alluring chorus. Great songs they are too. Lots of emotion expressed in word and deed. Songs that bear Suzanne out as a serious player.
A fantastic singer and an outstanding musician and strikingly original songwriter.

"I've spent the last week with the eponymous EP on repeat. It's a brilliant piece of work with zig-zagging harmonies and thought bending, often wistful lyrics.
The songs she writes are like going on a journey and I say that entirely aware of how pompous it sounds. Accompanied by either an acoustic guitar or piano the songs go through all manner of emotions, melancholy, anger, joy, humour, indifference and hundreds of others.
The whole thing is a masterful piece of work and I have to say one of the great things about it is when Suzanne delivers a line in an obscenely brilliant Teesside accent, entirely unintended though it may be."
