Be Quiet. Shout Loud! played their first gig on March 29th 2008 and began life as a 5 piece and soon expanded to a 6 piece, gaining an extra drummer in the process. In their fledgling months they have supported acts such as Iglu & Hartly, One Night Only, Team Waterpolo, and The Chapman Family.
During this time they have played live sessions for local BBC Radio and appeared at several summer festivals including Middlesbrough Music Live, Scarborough Beached and The Olga's Rock Festival in Oberhausen, Germany which was followed by a homecoming show where they headlined Middlesbrough Empire in September.
Inspired by 80's new-romantic synth pop, 90's baggy brit-pop and a shit load of disco, they are as much about, thumping, bass driven, body moving beats as they are about writing stupidly catchy pop songs. More often than not there will be a straggler aimlessly wandering around stage causing as much, if not more mayhem than feather boa clad, megaphone wielding front man Jake Radio to add to what they call "organised chaos"...
