escape everyday is not for the everyday man. Its layered compositions filled with flow transitions creates a certain threshold. But once inside one will learn to appreciate the rich diversity of mood swings and dynamic changes of style. The message to put out there is not plain simple but not incomprehensible either; escape everyday is about escaping everyday life, escaping the straightjacket that is modern society, escaping in music, preferably everyday. The band can be boxed for not thinking inside a box. Therefore their alternative rock leans towards progressive, inspired by bands like Tool, Oceansize and Isis.
The instruments involved are bass guitar (kay), lead guitar (thom), drums (erik) vocals and rhythm guitar (wouter). It was summer 2005 when the four-piece started walking the path that already lead through many places and resulted in over 40 gigs including two UK tours and a Dutch EP-release tour. Their debut EP ‘…when silence is deafening’ was released early 2008 and will soon be accompanied by a new record, while as we speak plans are being made to get a new EP out at the start of 2009…
