What and who the hell is R.O.R.C , you ask! It’s a long story but here it is …..
A guy named Mark Taylor entered a ringtone competition run by Castrol.
The competition was set up to see if the public at large could give the classical Mahler piece from previous Castrol adverts a contemporary,
cool make over. Adam Perry (formerly of the UK band “Aâ€), who manages a number of famous writers/producers and has his own record label,
was a judge at the competition. He heard the ringtone and loved it.
Adam contacted Mark Taylor about making it into a single and this became a dream come true for Mark!
Mark, a music teacher and part time musician, has now seen his song turned into a track called “It’s Liquid Engineeringâ€
by top producers (including Craig Hardy and Jason Perry, Adam’s twin brother and former lead vocalist of “Aâ€)
and feature the vocal talents of rapper 'Blemish'. It has also been remixed by Radio Ones Daniel P Carter, who heard it and loved it, and had dance experts Digital Dog do their magic on the track.
Additionally, Joel Veitch, best known for his kittens on the rathergood.com website has now agreed to make a video for the single
which will be released as a download only on 25th August through 'BRANDNew'/ Medical Records.
Most importantly, all the profits from the record are going to the Teenage cancer Trust,
who have long standing connections with music.
