About Me


The Wutars are described by the NME as "Jangling Jam influenced indie band", or according to Turning Worm, they are a "frenetic indie guitar band with the jerky quirky eccentricity of Libertines thru sharp punkyindie and a Hamburg era Beatles vibe."
The Wutars sound is cutting, dirty and melodic, giving them a unique blend of indie-rock with pop-tastic melodies. In a time when indie seems to revolve around image rather than music, here are four young lads who add a lot of substance in a bleak landscape. With a string of packed out nights at the traditional London circle such as The Islington Bar Academy, Camden Underworld & Proud, Kilburn Luminaire, The 100Club, Metro club & Water Rats, The Wutars are flying! Plus a coach full of fans to play The Barfly in Cardiff, this secret bar in Bruges (Belgium), and the most wutarful experience at the legendary Fashing Club in Stockholm (Sweden), supporting rock chick Kitto...Not to mention slots alongside former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock, Towers Of London, Brakes, Simple Kid, and a monthly residency at Filthy (home of The Libertines) MacNastys including an LMHR acoustic session sharing the bill with Drew McConnell, and a feature at one of the biggest japanese TV channels, Fuji.
