The mixture of Joel Tuttle's art fusion guitar work, mixed with the artistry of Joey Kay's
(Josef Krupinski) Smooth Jazz programming and composition
make a great blend of Electronic Jazz and Electric Fusion Guitar.
Joey Kay has associated with prominent Underground House Artists over
the last decade and a half, such as Jere McAllister, Danny "Sweet D" Wilson
(creator of "House Nation" Trax Records), Brian "Furious" Frazier of WKKC 89.3 FM Chicago's "Friday Night Audio",
K Alexi (writer of "Essence Of A Dream"), and other artists. Joey also ran a cosiderably sized
production studio, and has done live sound all around Chicago.
Playing in a 100 piece Orchestra in grade school, Junior High School, and marching band at Thornridge High School in Dolton, IL, and starting on drums and keys at a very early age, Josef played just about every percussive instrument, from Tympanis to Vibraphones, to the drum set.
Joey had played with many bands as a drummer, then a guitarist/vocalist/frontman, and had airplay on WXRT 93.1 Chicago, Q 101 WKQX Chicago, WLUW 88.7 Loyola Radio Chicago, and various on-air interviews with previous bands
Electronic music was always an interest since a young age, and sequenced music production began at 15 years of age.
A Multi-Instrumentalist since a child, Joey Kay later attended Columbia College in Chicago, majoring
in Fine Arts and receiving his BFA and a Certificate in Recording Engineering. Hes recorded many
of his own pieces, as well as recording others for a fee, or sometimes for free.
He interned at the famed "Battery Studios" (Jive Records) in Chicago while attending Columbia in 1995.
Joeys past claim to fame is an Underground House International Extended Play release on House Jam Records in 1994 (Larry Thompson, Rick Lenoire, Gary Wallace) mistitled "Eclectiz" (actually meant to be "Eclectic" (search discogs.com for Joey Kay)), and featured on House Jams "Sanctuary E.P" Release, also in 1994.
Joel Tuttle's experience on guitar stems from playing at childhood to the present.
He is a self taught player and has a strong base on his structure of sounds that he creates.
Much of his influences are based on fusion styles as John McGlaughlin, Frank Zappa,
Jerry Garcia and The Greatful Dead, just to name a few.
Joels lead guitar tears through the music, yet with such subtlty, they mesh
precisely with the rest of the tracks. A very strong fusion player, Joels work is permanently embedded as part of fullcircle's repetoire.
