I'll give you more than a song, for a song in itself is not what you have required...

About Me

I'm a supply teacher working in primary schools around the Rochdale area, and I also work in a call centre for a catalogue company (Christmas cards/gifts) based in Clayton-le-Moors near Blackburn. I am a committed Christian and heavily involved with the worship side of things. Have lots of evening meetings to do with church, so have very little time to myself. Enjoy music, reading, playing Neopets & putting my feet up.

My Interests

Singing (church choir/music group - nothing exciting but I enjoy it) reading, going on holiday - especially to Stoupa, when I can afford it. My favourite hobby is daydreaming.

I'd like to meet:

Nobody in particular, if I met anybody famous, I'd only go all shy.

Music:

Everything as long as its good. My tastes range from Hymns and Psalms to Heavy Metal with everything in between in varying degrees. Can't say I'm fond of Jazz though! Am currently listening to some great live bands - look at my top friends for starters. Music makes me smile, cry, jump up and down, it excites and moves me and I believe it is one of the greatest gifts that God gave us. I'd be lost without it.A Lot Like EskimosLostAloneExile Parade

Movies:

First and Foremost... Serenity, - We went all the way to Edinburgh Film Festival and back in a day just to see this and were not disappointed - Ladyhawke, LOTR, Bladerunner, Amelie, Spirited Away (subtitled not dubbed), Dirty Dancing, Troy (love a man in a leather skirt) Baz Luhrman's Romeo & Juliet and much more that I can't think of right now.

Television:

Firefly,(BOO HISS, why was this cancelled??) Gray's Anatomy, Eureka, Lost, Heroes, QI, Extras, Jonathan Ross. Used to love Captain Scarlet as a child.

Books:

Am enjoying Fantasy genre at the moment both adult and children's books, especially Garth Nix but also enjoy Harlan Coben, Bernard Cornwell and love reading Roald Dahl in class. In fact I'll even read what's on the back of a bus ticket if it's all I have. I'm also one of those strange people who love reading maps, both atlases and street/road maps. I can even follow them to the places I need to get to!

Heroes:

Someone once said that our heroes have feet of clay.

Easter 2008

Easter this year has been non stop. It started on Maundy Thursday when I missed church for the first time in years and went to a gig instead. Well, it was a good gig! And a bad gig as well. Why?.. Fir...

The Christmas Show.....

The Christmas show with LostAlone and TSA was amazing. I'd panicked like mad about getting in as I didn't know how guest lists worked despite reassurance from Mark, but it was all fine. Met Ricki agai...

The Long Weekend

When I booked tickets to see the Kaiser Chiefs back in August I'd had no thought to how busy my weeks were going to be. Supply has been constant with a lot of playground duties meaning all marking has...

Trip to Derby - again!

How did it go? Firstly Tilly decided to go missing; we called and called but no sign of her. Wondered if we should leave a window open in case she was outside, but instead left all the internal doors ...

Susumi 17th July 2007

The 17th of July started with a phone call from the supply agency asking me to work. For once, despite needing the money, I refused. The reason? A trip to Derby to see 2 of my favourite band...

This weekend someone Ruth had spoken to for ages on the internet was supposed to be coming to stay with us for a few days. He was due to arrive Thursday so I booked unpaid time off work to pick him up...

On March 1st I went to see Komakino in Manchester, thinking it would probably be the only time I saw them live. Since then I've seen them another twice and am contemplating going a couple more ti...

Gillygoggles and Gillygiggles

Ruth and her friend Linda came up with these new words which I rather like... You know when you know somebody too well to call them aquaintances (sounds so cold) but not well enough to call them frien...

March

I have enjoyed the first half of March immensely. It started on the 1st - predictably - with the Komakino gig in Manchester. I'd been looking forward to this for months. My daughter introduced me...
