Jasons stunning debut album, LISTEN, draws on all of the diverse musical influences in his career to date. Producing and arranging the album himself has allowed Jason to showcase his unique talent in a crystal clear way in each of his original and moving interpretations. Coming from the South Coast of England, Jason grew up surrounded by music in all its guises. His Father, having been a singer during the big band era in the 1950s, and his Mother, playing the piano, both encouraged his musical talent from an early age."My early musical influences go back to the old mo-town records that my sisters used to play, as well as Earth wind and Fire, the Jacksons, Chicago and many film soundtracks like Grease and Fame, which is ironic as I ended up playing the lead in Fame the musical in London. Everything comes full circle in the end! Then my Dad would play all the old Nat King-Cole, Matt Monroe and Sinatra classics. A real mixed bag" At thirteen Jason went to Canford School in Dorset, a Public School with a very strong and prestigious musical heritage. There, he continued his musical training with studies in the Piano, violin, composition and of course Singing. He left Canford at eighteen with A levels in Art, English and of course, Music; by this time he knew that music was his destiny.."There is nothing more noble a profession than music for a manIt was where my heart truly lay." After spending three years at Drama College in London, Jason embarked on a career that has seen him singing and performing in the West End of London, Londons National Theatre, and touring throughout Scandinavia, Ireland and extensively throughout Europe.LISTEN marks a departure from the West End for Jason. Having played leads in Les miserables, Fame and Chess, the challenges ahead in writing his own material have excited and pushed him in the recording of his second album.
