A J Moore

A J MOORE (Andy) is song writer and session player based in London. His music crosses a wide range of styles, from classical and jazz to soul and indi rock. In all cases though the one thing that really stands true is the quality of the musicianship. At times the playing can be incredible complex, the next minute very simple, but always it comes across with style and feel. This is no more apparent than during his live performances. Playing alongside fellow session guitarist NICK RUNDALL you can experience music that'll encapsulate and quieten any audience. (Some new material can be heard and downloaded here on myspace). Andy's session work is as varied as his writing and has seen him work with artists as diverse as New Zealand born classical star HAYLEY WESTENRA , ELLIE LAWSON , INDI FORDE and SALLY J JOHNSON .
He is also a respected tutor. Originally based in Leeds he spent 4 years lecturing at LCM before moving to London due to increasing demand. He now teaches privately and for the american school in london. His students range from complete beginners to the advanced with ages spanning 6-58 years. He also works as an artist developer, helping upcoming stars advance their playing and composing skills.
Alongside the teaching Andy is an examiner/consultant for ROCKSCHOOL , and writes monthly articles for TOTAL GUITAR ( total guitar are also accompanied with some fun tutoring DVD's) and GUITAR TECHNIQUES magazines. Currently Andy and Rockschool are making a number of teaching DVD's, for which he is presenter, that will accompany and explain in detail each guitar grade.
