DJ Listen and Learn (a.k.a Christian Rodriguez) born April 1, 1982 in Los Angeles, California. I've lived in the beautiful state of California my whole life. I moved to Northern California when I was 10 years old. I've been living here ever since.
My name (DJ Listen and Learn) isn't some egotistical label; it's quite simple. While growing up, I was always learning different things from listening to all kinds of records. Some more then others, but always learning something. The thing is...I love learning. The name comes from my relationship with music and sound in general. I'm a fan of a whole range of sounds, especially hip-hop.
I tried to rap, but I realized my calling was behind the boards and not on the mic, and from there I began to produce beats/instrumentals. That doesn't mean that I won't occasionally get on the mic and surprise you sometime.
I'm a Student, DJ, Producer, Audio Production Engineer, Photographer, Film Production Enthusiast, Radio Host and Beathead who collects vinyl & all forms of music. Currently, I'm working on continuing with school after this summer. Working on projects: solo instrumental album, my side project "Gamma Ray Burst" with some fellow artist friends of mine. documentary about (Immigration), multimedia portfolio, photography, beats, and other art.
My musical journey is about:
Shapes and images.
