Matéya,She has the look, the voice, the lyrics and the production to make quite an impressive package. The time is now for this west coast native to make her mark in the music industry. Even though she has been singing most of her life, it wasn’t until the last few years that Matéya set a goal to unleash the voice that was hidden inside. “I grew up listening to recording artists like Jody Watley, Jennifer Holiday and Patti Labelle. They had an ability to not only make great songs, but you could close your eyes and feel what they were singing about.”Matéya is now destined to do the same. With hot tracks from multi-talented music producer Chazz Oliver, of InnerSoul Music Works, behind her, she has found a true musical connection that will no doubt be a catalyst in launching her career to the next level. The two have clicked to form such hits as the R&B styled “Addicted” and the slick Hip Hop vibe of “Don’t I” feat. Rapper Chamillion, just to name a few. One of the standout tracks on the CD is “Watch Me”. This track grabs you with its hypnotic melody and head nodding grove. Matéya’s song “Who I am”, will leave you wondering where she has been till now? It’s a rock inspired tune that will move you out of your seat with its slick and edgy production as well as its soulful delivery from Matéya.But there is more to this artist than just her great look and vocal abilities. Matéya is also an accomplished songwriter and lyricist, writing the lyrics for every track on her debut CD. Her Producer Chazz Oliver states, “It’s a pleasure to work with someone who knows what they want to say and can sing it as well”. Lyrics like, “The moon was so lovely…your smile, your face…the memory I can’t erase” from Matéya’s song Can I keep you here and lyrics “You don’t get to touch, just watch me” from the song Watch Me. Lyrics of this caliber show Matéya’s level of song writing versatility. Matéya states that being able to write with the production team of InnerSoul Music Works has been great. “Working with Chazz Oliver is like working with a Chameleon, he can twist his soulful style around just about anything“.One look at Matéya and you will see a sexy confident lady that is culturally diverse and embraces her very own mixed heritage. In Matéya’s eyes good music comes in many different forms and at the end of the day this is what this artist truly inspires to create herself, good music! Soulful, spiritual and provocative; three words that truly describe the artist known as Matéya.Get Your Own! | View SlideshowAudra LomaxSexy, Sultry, Soulful, Artistic.
