A natural diva, Sylver oozes vocal personality that is unique, original, storytellin’, pop/soul funk with sprinkles of church, drama school and just plain ole “got it goin’ on”, moving and brilliant all at the same time.
Refreshing and nostalgic, Sylver is a rare artist who is at home whether as leader of the band, a la CHIC or dance hit “superstar” belting heavy ad libs and choruses of ALL THIS TIME to crowds of thousands. Number one on the BILLBOARD Dance Radio Airplay Charts for twenty plus weeks, ALL THIS TIME, successful by popular demand, is a smash single.
Simultaneously, SYLVER is ringing heartstrings all over the world with her “teaser” single, CAN I OPEN MY EYES, debuted on The Montell Williams Show on his 2005 Valentine’s Day reunion show. A sweet and tender ballad from her upcoming solo project, this original song penned by the production team of Michael and Jamal Orr demonstrates the range of Sylver’s emotional acoustics. Fans everywhere are standing by for the pending release. Her first solo release, RIGHT THROUGH ME embodied Sylver’s penetrating a cappella tones in a comfortable place of emotional truth. “Just add water”, says producer Nile Rodgers, when discussing Sylver’s versatile talents. Her passionate style captured Rodgers and the co-creator of CHIC, the late Bernard Edwads, who would ultimately choose Sylver as the lead singer of the reunion group formed in 1991. After years of fronting gands and performing background vocals with artists such as Jean Carne, Yolanda Adams, Donna Summer, Glenn Jones, and Tony Terry, Sylver recorded chart topping singles CHIC MYSTIQUE and YOUR LOVE, and the hit track, LADY MARMALADE, released in France. The latter recording received the “les Etoiles de L’Or de la FM” at the National Radio Convention in Antibes, France.

Sylver’s signature voice can be heard in the movies , CURDLED, RICHCHET and RUSH HOUR 2 as well as on the Stellar Award winning CD, MORE THAN A MELODY, and the EXPERIENCE CD (Live at Constitution Hall) both by Yolanda Adams. The DVD, CHIC Live at Montreux, was released in the Spring of 2005. Sylver’s television appearances include The Johnathan Ross Show in London, Late Night with Johnny Carson, NBC’s Your Big Break, VH-1 DIVAS Live 2000, VH-1 Hip-Hop Awards 2004 and several performances on The Montel Williams Show.

The Japan Tobacco Superproducer Project, which honored Nile Rodgers as Producer of the Year, expanded Sylver’s discography to include CD releases, DO THAT DANCE, and a collection of CHIC songs titled CHIC LEFREAK and MORE TREATS. The Japan tour included sold-out performances at the Budokhan and Osaka Jo Hall.

SYLVER brought in the new millennium with CHIC in England and Japan, and destiny has smiled on her ever since. Intermittently working on her solo project, “all this time”, Sylver has honed her powerful and provocative “live- edge” to perfection. Touring international hotspots in France, Belgium, Italy, Sweden and recently Denmark and Greece, Sylver’s territory has expanded in quantums.
