About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Survivors of Torture International has been serving survivors of politically motivated torture in San Diego for the past 10 years. There are an estimated 11,000 survivors of politically motivated torture living in San Diego, and an estimated 500,000 in the United States.
To this date, SURVIVORS has served more than 700 hundred individuals from over 55 countries, regions and territories. Often, individuals are tortured because of their identity (ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, etc.) or because they are activists for human rights, women's rights and other causes. SURVIVORS offers a holistic approach to healing for our clients, including free psychological, medical, and social services.

Thank you to all on MySpace who have become our friends. Please know that Survivors does not endorse any information represented on these personal pages. For more information check out our web site at www.notorture.org

Want to do more?

Give Time

Your time and energy can make a big difference to our clients! Check out our many volunteer opportunities and our action alerts (see left).
We can also help you organize an event for raising awareness and/or funds, such as a film screening, house party, toiletry drive or university lecture. You can also send letters to your legislators to ask them to support services for survivors.

Give Talents

If you're a musician, poet, painter, photographer, dancer, or other creative artist, please send us a message about partnering with SURVIVORS for your next event! We'd love to join you.

Donate

Join our circle of healing at www.notorture.org! More than 90 percent of all donations go directly to client services. Your gift is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.

You can also help us raise money by enrolling in the community program at Ralph's! Go to the Ralph's web site, select the “Participant” option, and enter SURVIVORS’ organization number: 84761. It makes money for SURVIVORS without costing you a dime!
