The Rocky Mountain Survivors Center (RMSC) , located in DENVER, COLORADO, has been around since October 1996. RMSC is a non-profit organization that assists survivors of torture and war trauma, and their families, to heal and rebuild their lives; to create a new future! Our holistic approach involves providing a variety of services, including: individual and group counseling, psychiatry, health care, social services, and asylum legal representation. Services are provided at no cost to participants.
In the 10 years that RMSC has been around, an average of 182 participants are served per year, from over 37 countries and 26 language groups. Last year, 73.5% of our participants were asylum seekers, while 26.5% were refugees and asylees.
Torture is an extreme violation of human rights and unfortunately is still being practiced worldwide. Therefore, the need for these services and YOUR help persists. YOU can help STOP TORTURE!
