About Me

Born in Zürich to a an English mother and a Czech father I started writing songs back in high shool for a Soul band. I learnt my first guitar chords from my father, who fronted a acclaimed Soul band in the sixties. A serious interest in guitar began at the age of twelve as the result of discovering Folk music, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan and listening to the Blues. Despite my lasting love for Soul and Blues I have travelled a varied musical path since then, one that includes playing eastern European music for a klezmer trio, singing in an Irish band and many years of busking the streets. Somewhere along the line I began to feel the need for a more personal und freer musical platform. I started writing stark, intimate songs and recorded them to a small four track for the benefit of my friends and family. Soon i started playing at open mics and small venues around Switzerland. Currently i am recording new songs in a studio for the first time.
