In February/March 2006 Singer-Songwriter *dew* crossed the ocean, heading for the USA. The destination was Jackpot! Studio in Portland, Oregon. During almost three weeks, she has been working there together with well-known producer Larry Crane, whose work has included albums and recordings from Elliott Smith, Sleater-Kinney, the Go-Betweens, Jenny Lewis or Cat Power. With the help of professional musicians (Larry Crane and her fellow Pascal Perrot), the songs have grown into minimally orchestrated folk-rock-songs during the recording process. Melancholy and confidence have a charming rendezvous.
