About Me

Audio Bug is the combination of 2 DJ's / Producers: Electroman & Jamie Christer. They run their own nights in Manchester, Preston & Blackpool, under the Audio Bug name, DJ across Europe together & DJ separately at other nights. Please note that they are nothing to do with Audio Bug Records. Style wise Electroman plays electro breaks & techno, Jamie plays minimal house, tech house & techno. They have just launched their new, digital only, record label; No Scratch No Snatch, from which, the first 2 releases, featuring artist Frank de Bauch, will be on Juno very shortly.Electroman originally got into Dance Music in 1990, going out clubbing in Blackpool listening to old piano house. Having been influenced by Billy Nasty's progressive sets in the early to mid 90's he bought his 1210's in 94 & has been mixing ever since. He first played out at various parties before hosting a couple of his, & another local Colleges' do's at clubs in Blackpool. Having moved to Huddersfield, he became one of the residents at the Student Union nightclub (Eden), which had previously been the home of Hard Times, playing weekly (for nearly 4 yrs) he got to spin before occasional big name guests, whilst also playing the SU at Loughborough once in a while as well as playing at 3 different nights in & around Bristol.Currently playing in Preston, Blackpool & Manchester, with the odd booking in Europe & spending more & more time in the studio getting some tracks together, the future looks exciting for him & Audio Bug.Jamie got into electronic music at a very young age, as his parents would often be listening to Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Joy Division and the Pet Shop Boys at home. Skip another 10 years and this was the late 90s and Jamie first got into djing, purchasing his set of 1210s in 98, after being inspired by mix tapes by Carl Cox, Sven Vath and Sasha which had been given too him by a friends older brother. It wasnt until 2000-2001 that Jamie first started going clubbing, going to places like Sankeys Soap (Manchester) Back to Basics (Leeds) and Federation (Blackpool) being inspired by some of the best djs that spun in these clubs. Jamie has dj'd at various Clubs and Bars throughout his hometown of Blackpool occasionally warming up for bigger named guests from local Northwest clubs and he has also been seen playing in clubs in Manchester, Preston, Europe and further a field in Melbourne and Singapore, in 2004 playing alongside and warming up for the likes of Luke Chable, Sean Quinn, Chris Fortier, Anthony Pappa and PQM. He has also spun for dance website based residentadvisor.com.au. Whilst in Australia Jamie found opportunity to hook up with Andrew Dannoui from Steve Lawler's Harlem Records to start producing tracks. Nowadays you can catch Jamie spinning filthy glitchy minimal tech house to techno, and fucked up electronica...
