JUST A QUICK CLIP At the start of his clubbing days Andy and a group of friends visited clubs from far and wide, Slinky, Cream/bugged out and Atomic Jam to name but a few. Driving to many events to see star Djs like techno wizard Dave Clarke, Jon Carter, Mario Picotto and Billy Nasty. After a while a good friend introduced Andy to the legendary club ORBIT. The nights were long, messy and the DJs were awesome. This is were Andy found musical home. After being inspired by outstanding techno DJs such as Ben Sims, D.J rush, Sven Vath, Surgeon and Paul Damage. Andy bought his decks. As many of his idols use a Pioneer DJM600 mixer this was his weapon of choice. In his bedroom surgically attached to his turntables Andy began to create his own unique style of mixing, blended with astonishing effects. Visiting Action Records every Saturday he soon built up a library of electronic/alternative sounds. Whilst still perfecting his craft Andy started to produce mix tapes and cds including; Some like it hard series and the brilliant 600 sessions. Andy needed somewhere to showcase his talents. A 100 capacity room became available above the Adelphi, Andy teamed up with fellow D.J Wilx and TRAUMA was born. The free night that showcased local D.Js/Producers playing quality underground Techno, Electro and Breaks. Artists such as: Paul Cottam, Blocker and Pete Carling drew in larger crowds and the event fast out grew the venue. It was a success. Because of Andy’s diversity and his ability to adapt his mixing styles and tunes to suit the occasion, he was asked to perform at other Preston nights, including Assembly, Destroy, Disco Slut and AudioBug. Whilst promoting, D.Jing and organising Trauma Andy was simultaneously working on a massive event to be held in the summer. TRAUMATISED An 18hr music festival held at a secret open air location in Euxton. Over 1000 people turned up and the night was a massive success(DVD’s of event available,E-mail Andy with request). Over the summer Andy had a break and took a step back to search for a new suitable venue for Trauma. To date Andy has built up the event and the Trauma Team which now consists of D.Js/producers, Photographers, Design teams and even a film crew. More recently Andy has had a residency at a Trauma sponsored event, Subtract. Run by D.J Wilx it is a night of electronic beats and breaks at the Attic, Revolution. With team-mate Wilx taking the raines it has left Andy to perfect his mixing style and plan for Traumas Re-launch in the new year. Watch out for Andy playing at Ignition and at a new night coming soon at Club Solid. 2007 is going to be a busy time for Andy and Trauma. Expect Big names, Bangin parties and a few surprises. Thanks, All the best.
