ATTENTION What you will see and read are heartbreaking images and horrible information on the realities of animal testing, animal cruelty and the inhumane acts on animals. It is OUR obligation as society to do everything we can to change the world for the better. Mankind has deceived its furry, finned and scaled friends by its disgraceful disregard for their basic rights as living beings. Nowhere is it written that humans, while perhaps the most developed of all species, are the rulers over their nonspeaking counterparts. Whether or not a person believes animals have the same rights as humans is not the issue: The issue is that animals have the same innate right to a life free of pain, suffering and exploitation as man does, regardless if they are lower on the life chain. Animals have no one to defend them; mankind must adopt the role of their caretaker or prepare to suffer the consequences. It is up to us to make a difference and be their voice!!!Characteristic of any living being is the inherent right to live its existence free from intentional pain and suffering, as well as to exist within the context put forth by nature. This concept has been completely lost on humanity, in as much as man has historically utilized animals for whatever purpose he deems necessary without a thought for the animal's needs. The issues that surround animal rights are both broad and complex; not only do they address the primal mistreatment of those from the animal kingdom, but they also appeal to man's inability to recognize the sentience of any creature other than himself. Animal experimentation is a particularly huge component of the animal rights argument, in as much as science has taken it upon itself to utilize animals as a means by which to further the human race. Without the slightest bit of concern for the pain and suffering thrust upon laboratory specimens, man continues to poke, prod, burn and mutilate living, feeling animals in the name of science.FOR THE RECORD.....I don't always agree with PETA, but I do agree that something should be done about the cruelties that innocent animals endure. Animal Cruelty is wrong because we are hurting the Innocent. Animals experience and feel pain, fear , anxiety, stress, depression, boredom, joy and happiness. Animals are very intelligent, some ever learn our own language. Most people Experience their first bond with an animal. Not only do they bring a companion and a friend into our lives, but also unconditional love and comfort. Pet shops and puppy mills mass produce, kennels are overcrowded and dirty, with very little nutrition. Cats/dogs are held in metal cages and lead miserable lives breeding continuously. Animals suffer and are neglected, and some are sold to research laboratories.IT IS ABSOLUTLEY NOT OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
