I love camping at the beach (corny, I know, but true). I feel like it really puts life in perspective for me to be stripped of all material things and just become one with the sound of the ocean. I'm dying to go horseback riding again. LOVE cooking. I like to collect things. Right now it's Lord of the Rings toys (I'm in touch with my inner nerd), but also collect records (yes, vinyl).
Cool people in touch with their inner nerd.
Love music, being a singer. Jazz is my fave - real jazz - Miles, Coltrane, Chet Baker & all the West Coast guys, Ben Webster, Red Garland, too many to list, and of course the vocal greats - Ella, Sarah, June Christy, Ethel Ennis, Cathy Hayes (obscure and amazing). New stuff changes, Brian Wilson is a genius and of course The Beatles rule. I'm a total sucker for a catchy pop tune.
Again, I love way too many movies to list them all. Love mostly old movies, 2 faves It's a Wonderful Life and Harold and Maude. Love old musicals. Breakfast at Tiffany's and Barefoot in the Park have been in the DVD player a lot lately. Any Charlie Kaufman movie is pure genius. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy has become one of my all-time faves. Anything Tennessee Williams, Frank Capra, anything with Montgomery Clift, Jimmy Stewart, Audrey Hepburn. Etc, etc, etc...oops, how could I forget the Coen brothers?? Silly me!!
Deadwood and Carnivale. That's all I have to say about that, cocksucker. Actually, it's not. Family Guy and Arrested Development. And can I just add, how is it fucking possible that a show as amazing as Arrested Development can get cancelled? That's just LAME! I recently discovered Freaks and Geeks as well. And Bill Maher should run for president.
Tropic of Cancer, Henry and June, On the Road and Big Sur, the Vampire Chronicles, all Harry Potter, Raymond Carver, Ramond Chandler, love autobiographies and biographies.
Audrey Hepburn, Robert Kennedy, anyone who has transcended obstacles and oppression to succeed (again, too many to list). Tom Dooley was a pretty amazing guy.
