I am a University of Kentucky graduate currently living in Florida. I was born and raised in a small town in Ohio which is the hometown of Woody Hayes and Cy Young--Newcomerstown, Ohio.
I grew up riding and showing horses spending much of my young life traveling to horse shows and lessons throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. As a junior I competed in the hunters at rated shows, but I also was an active 4-H member and was State Champion at 16 in the Sr. age group for the Working Hunter Division--(which is comparable to the Junior hunters at open shows). At 17 I started to dabble in the jumpers and got completely hooked!! I now catch ride and start young horses for both hunter, jumper, and eventing disciplines. I currently have a young Thoroughbred gelding who I am gearing towards the pre-green hunter division next year.
I work full-time as an equine veterinary technician and I braid manes and tails for horse show barns on the weekends. I also give grooming and basic veterinary/first-aid care clinics. While I was in Kentucky, I worked for Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and Hagyard, Davidson, and McGee, and I even worked for a short time in the Legal department--Rules Compliance at USA Equestrian (now USEF).
Love the warm weather here in Florida and being so close to the beach, however, I really miss Lexington, Kentucky--just not the snow and ice! Love anything University of Kentucky--GO CATS!!!!!!!!
I enjoy attending Bike Week and Biketoberfest in Daytona and I am currently working on a collection of Harley-Davidson T-shirts--I am trying to get one from all 50 states. I love to ride with a friend or family member, but I am currently saving up for one of my own.
I live on a beautiful 3000 acre Thoroughbred Farm here in Florida where my husband is a division manager. This place is truly an oasis!!! I really enjoy spending time with my horse, my two Labrador retrievers (Coke and Nilla) and 5--YES FIVE cats (Harley, Luvbug, Bad Cat, Spider, and Opium).
When I am not tending to one of my animals, I enjoy gardening--which is easy to do year round here in Florida. I also design and create beaded jewelry. I€,,ve been doing this for 10 years and I have been selling my items for the past four years. I have had some great success selling my designs both privately and on EBay.
Primarily my interests are focused on horses and the veterinary industry--I love to read and friends and family always comment that I have my nose in a book! My life is totally committed to the care and well-being of animals, especially horses.

A Little bit of everything, but mostly classic rock, hard rock and metal.......Mudvayne, Seether, Nickleback, Korn, Disturbed, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Alice In Chains, Saliva, Metallica, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, Ozzy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lynard Skynard, Rolling Stones, Clapton, Sheryl Crow, and Montgomery Gentry (yeah, they're country, but I love them because they are Bad Ass Biker Dudes from Kentucky!!), 80s Hard Rock like Def Leppard and Aerosmith, U2, Hendrix, and the list goes on........

Silence of the Lambs, Hostel, Amityville Horror, The Shining........anything horror or suspense, Indie Films and Documentry Films, the occaisional comedy

Television:

I don't watch mainstream TV. Mostly the History channel, A&E--Cold Case Files--I am addicted to that show!, Biography Channel, Discover--Used to watch American Chopper before they became overly famous, Biker Build-Off--Love Billy Lane!! and Indian Larry, RIP!

Books:

I Love to read everything!! Fiction--Suspense or Horror, Non-Fiction: Veterinary Medicine, Nature--animals and plants, Gardening, Bartending Books, Horses--you name it, everything from veterinary care to training to glossy coffee table books, Books on hiking and state and national parks.
