Alpha Farm

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Alpha Farm is a family oriented farm, that specializes in kid-safe, friendly horses that are suitable for multiple disciplines.

During the summer, beginning the last week of May, and continuing into the second week of August, Alpha Farm offers a one-of-a-kind camp that features horseback riding and lessons as its main activity. Younger campers will learn how to properly groom, tack, and care for the horses through each week of camp. They will learn how to properly sit in the saddle and control the horse at the walk or trot. More experienced campers learn the more advanced techniques of riding, trotting, cantering, controlling the horse on the trails, gymkhana games, jumping, and introductory dressage among the topics. Each week has a different theme, from hunter equitation, to western speed events, to games on horseback.

We also work to take in abused, neglected, and unwanted horses. With the help of the kids and families, we recuperate these often slaughter-bound horses, and find them loving homes.
