I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Myspace Editor
Pimp MySpace

A VERY Wise Woman had told me of the value of this network to her – and obviously to many more of you; so I thought I’d better join the 21st century and sign up and see what comes….. It CERTAINLY has been an interesting new experience for me these past few months. And the potential for this new medium is unbelievable! I’m a highly curious fellow; so I’ve been approaching this as an experiment in social behavior….maybe a bit of therapy for my soul. I've learned a lot, seen some very interesting things, heard a LOT of great music by established artists AND beginners with TONS of potential....so keep up the good work everyone! Most of all I like to thank everyone along the way...both Old Friends and New

I’m a hopeless romantic and proud of it! So I approach everything in life from an optimistic point of view. I’m a sensualist by nature; so the “feel” and texture” of life is very important. To connect physically and spiritual with someone…..I like to listen, to touch, to massage. I LOVE the experience of life – in all forms. From a soft candlelit dinner – to the driving throb of a big dance club – or the raw emotions in a stadium full of football fans. You’ve got to feel it, to enjoy it!

Choice of my lead photo: Truth be told, I don’t have a photo of myself. No lie. I joke that I would break the lens, but having my photo taken doesn’t really interest me. I’m MUCH better from the perspective of the photographer or observer…a bit of a voyeur too…and I believe I have an excellent eye. Not posing shots; but as they say “keeping it real”. Besides, there are SO many more deserving people who come alive in front of a camera….more power to them. Clearly, there a ton of attractive people on this network; stunningly beautiful women to appreciate and celebrate….perhaps a good reason to be here! But for me personally, I’ve chosen some photos from my profession; one of my great loves is Travel. I take people places, I send people, I teach people, I guide people to enjoy this wonderful world of ours…..so a few photos of some of the ski and beach destinations that I work with for your enjoyment….

Choice of my song: Now that I've been on MySpace for awhile, its time to update my song and and the message it sends. I’ve always been intrigued by the “B” side of hit songs, and there are a lot of such gems. Unfortunately very few make it to MySpace Music for adding. I was looking for one of the more obscure tunes by The Eagles…a favorite called “Learn to Be Still”. We’re ALL searching through life; maybe that is part of the reason I’m here on MySpace; so maybe that is why I thought of that tune for myself. I could have chosen their “Take it Easy” or another in that vein, “Easy Like Sunday Morning”, because they certainly reflects my personality….But we all could use The Eagles advice and “Learn to Be Still”. So in recognition of The Eagles, my original song choice was appropriately called "New Kid in Town"....but now that I'm a bit of a "veteran" of Myspace...I've thought of something better...more thought provoking. We all get beaten down a bit by life at times, but we've GOT to keep fighting and striving to do our best. And "keeping the Faith" in our futures. So in honor of that philosophy and goal....my next song was from the pen of that genius - gone too soon - Lowell George of Little Feat! "Willin' But apparently his page has made some changes and deleted that classic...so it was time to move on. So next, I chose an amazing new voice that I've found - appropriately enough - here on MySpace. It was by up and coming artist Malea McGuiness.....True Believer. A beautiful song, beautiful words, and a beautiful message. Please give her a listen! But as her talent rises, new songs need their recognition...so its time to move on to celebrate another new talent...a wonderful trio named, Sirocco. Their harmony is beautiful to behold. And their cover of You Raise Me Up is lovely AND inspiring...so Enjoy!

I’m not here to date or hook up. I’m boundlessly curious, so I’m exploring this new sensation in cyberspace. I’m a very sensual person, with a VERY active imagination! So this should be fun. Maybe I can create a stimulus or a connection between people with this page. I hope you’ll stop on by sometime and share a little of your ideas, imagination and bit of your paradise too…. By the way….ThankYou Partner! You’re a very special inspiration!

I'm Keeping the Faith and still "Willin'!

My Interests

People say I have “an old soul”. I grew up too fast and seemed “older” or more “mature” than my age when I was younger. Now they would “never guess” I’m my age. Oh well….maybe I’ve gained wisdom from my experience and that is what keeps me young. All I know is what I feel. Fine wine and candlelight…what can I say! But I’m DEFINITELY “old school” No Ipod or MP3 player yet. It took me years to get a cell phone or a message machine for my home phone. I’ve never even downloaded songs….The record companies love people like me, I still buy CDs – which I keep in their original crystal cases, even in my car. I still have tons of vinyl LPs in my collection and a working turntable with a diamond stylus in pristine condition. Never play them, but I’ve got them. Talk about “old”!

I LOVE friends, true friends who never stop believing in you no matter how tough it gets….thick & thin Baby!. No posers please. “I’ve got your back” can be so cliché’, but NOT with true friends. You know, those friends you can call at 2 in the morning just because. Or the ones you don’t see for ten years and when you do get together, the groove is still there like it was yesterday. True Friends – long talks and walks. Great conversation with people you feel so comfortable with that you can really open up. No pretensions, no games.

I LOVE the romance of life and its beauty. You could say I’m in love with beauty….body & soul…physical & spiritual. I love the beauty in nature. Like the quiet of a soft snowfall at night, rain dripping from the wildflowers in a field, or sunrise igniting the colors of Utah’s Canyonlands. I love the beauty of musical melodies and harmony, the beauty of art and what the printed word can stir in me. But most of all, I LOVE the beauty of women! The female form…..an arched eyebrow, a soft kiss, a well-toned bare back and how they move in a tight pair of jeans….Oh My! Don’t know how they do it, but a woman walking toward me in a pair of spiked heels makes be SO glad I’m a man!

Old romantic or old fool, I can live with either label. Most of all I’m a survivor!

I'd like to meet:

Talented, honest and giving people with something to say in words, song or photographs.

Music:

Music is one of the greatest gifts people can give to the world, so naturally it is an important part of my life….every day I need some rhythm and harmony to make the day worth living. I honestly believe that everyone has a soundtrack playing in the background of their lives; if you embrace it, if you “crank it up”, you’re living life as it was meant to be. I LOVE just about every genre; except for the “extremes”…like hardcore “twangy” Country about dying pets, lost loves and cars. Plus, I’m a little too “white” to appreciate gangster rap. Otherwise…bring it on Baby!

Anything by The Eagles, both collectively and individually – Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon, Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmit - the works. All the classic and true “heavy metal” of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, to the new metal heads like Nickleback and the awesome new collaboration of 3 Doors Down with old favorite Bob Seger on “Landing in London”. The jazz from the ages….the beauty of Miles Davis’ trumpet to Wes Montgomery’s guitar styling….latin jazz from Astrud Gilberto’s “Girl from Ipanema” to the awesome Gypsy Kings…the classic “cool” jazz of Spyrogyra, the Yellowjackets, Candy Dulfer's sax and the under appreciated Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express…to today’s artists like Chris Botti and Boney James. More classic rock from Jethro Tull’s flute, to Stevie Ray Vaughn’s driving guitar solos, the “rompin & stompin” beat of Little Feat, the electric fiddle of Kansas and funky groove of Rare Earth. The timeless horns of Tower of Power and the true “Legend” Bob Marley. The depth and soul of the Blues….from B.B. King and his Lucille, to the stories of John Lee Hooker and the unbelievable rhythm guitar of today’s Keb’ Mo’. The silky voice of Seal. Not to mention the harmony of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; the “street harmonies’ of Boyz II Men and the newer country versions – Ricochet and Little Big Town. And no one plays the mandolin like Chris Thile of Nickel Creek. The fun of country with Kenny Chesney’s “When the Sun Goes Down”, Alan Jackson’s great drinking song “Its 5 O’Clock Somewhere”(with the old Parrothead himself, Jimmy Buffett) and Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman” Even the great movie theme works of Maurice Jarre and John Williams…I LOVE it all!ALL of rock – Amy Lee of Evanescence!!

To the Unparalleled ones; the poetic genius, that was Jim Morrison and The Doors, and the ageless ones Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana; the best of the best! I thank you ALL!

Movies:

Can’t remember the last time I saw something on the big screen. I’ve become a creature of Blockbuster and Comcast on Demand. Love the classic Hitchcock thrillers, old Hammer horror flix and I never say no to James Bond - Sean Connery is the best, but I watch them all. Love the old epics of David Lean like Lawrence of Arabia…..the "little" classics like Being There...the indies like Swingers…and if anyone but me ever saw the classic mystery Sleuth – well you’ll know what I mean. I certainly enjoy the “escape” of the big blockbusters like the Indiana Jones and Star Wars series, but I live in the hometown of the Sundance Film Festival, so I’m partial to the “little” movies. And I’m secure enough in my manhood and not afraid to admit I like to snuggle up to a “chick flick” every once in awhile. And no one can tell me that a remake is better than the original. Sorry….I LOVE originality in film!! So kill me! Eclectic and well-rounded tastes…Latest favorites: two with heart - Seabiscuit and Cinderella Man; and two with grit - Munich and Syriana.

Television:

Sports of ANY kind or channel, The History Channel, and Discovery. Can’t believe….someone at MY age is still hooked on MTV and VH1’s offerings on a daily basis. I’m afraid ESPN is an addiction…..

No mindless “comedies” thank you very much…I have to think to appreciate good laughter. Not much for the network’s fare, but I do like those initials and numbers though…CSI anything and 24.

Books:

Mysteries, Histories and Historical Fiction. I prefer hard-bound books to add to my library when I finish reading them. Paperbacks are for wimps. Everything by Alexandre Dumas, Ayn Rand, James Clavell, and “Dr. Watson I Presume” – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s incomparable Sherlock Holmes series. The 5 people You Meet in Heaven, a “little” book with a big-hearted message. I LOVE characters in novels…Bram Stoker’s Count Dracula, Patrick O’Brian’s Captain Jack Aubrey, Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt, Tony Hillerman's Jim Chee and Dashiell Hammet’s Sam Spade – Private Eye. And BIG in-depth histories of the World’s BIG events- David McCullough is a master. Anything by Frederick Forsyth is a thinking person’s historical fiction. The insane humor of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. And The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova is the best novel I’ve read in years. But my favorite? Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables(the play wasn’t half bad either!).Obviously I LOVE books….they are a HUGE part and influence in my life! The written word is such a powerful medium……

Heroes:

That’s tough because everyone has a different opinion on what a “hero” is. Our men and women in the military certainly deserve our many thanks. I think we can ALL agree that our heroes inspire us to be better people. There are monuments throughout the world in recognition of great people doing heroic things…..but it’s the little things, done everyday by just “plain folks” like you and me; living their lives in a honest and down to earth way that are my true heroes. There is one lady I know in particular who has taken life by the horns, and is fighting to make a life for herself and her beautiful children…she knows who she is…beauty, strength and courage…now THAT is what heroes are made of!

You scored as Angel, Angel: Angels are the guardians of all things, from the smallest ant to the tallest tree. They give inspiration, love, hope, and positive emotion. They live among humans without being seen. They are the good in all things, and if you feel alone, don't fear. They are always watching. Often times they merely stand by, whispering into the ears of those who feel lost. They would love nothing more then to reveal themselves, but in today's society, this would bring havoc and many unneeded questions. Give thanks to all things beautiful, for you are an Angel.
