What Is Sentric Music?

Here at Sentric Music we open up income streams for artists who otherwise would be unable to do so, specialising mainly in unsigned or independent artists.

The PRS and MCPS report that millions of £’s of royalties go unclaimed every year. For every gig that is played, for every record that is broadcast on the radio, wherever music is played in the public domain, PRS money is generated and the only way to unlock it if you are an artist is to either join the PRS themselves (which costs £100 per member – quite pricey for your average unsigned artist) or to be published (publishing deals are both hard to come by, and when they do arrive they often take equity and copyright in your material for an extended period of time). Here at Sentric Music we offer a way to collect these income streams without paying up front or giving away any of your copyright. Rather than charging you upfront, we take a percentage of your earnings to cover our costs of PRS membership.

As well as royalty collection we also offer digital distribution to major online stores, opening up another income stream to artists through the sale of their music.

What Can Sentric Music Do For You?
- Collect income from the PRS - Collect income from the MCPS
- Distribute your music digitally on iTunes
- Offer industry advice
- Add you to our library which could result in possible synchronization deals
- Non committal contract: the contract we sign with our artists can be cancelled with just 28 days notice so they can leave when ever they wish, also they keep 100% of their copyrights and equity.

Testimonies

Howard Price of ‘The Balor Knights’:
“You can tell anyone you like I almost fell off my chair when the first statement came through!”

Dave Pichilingi of Robot! Records (record label of ‘The Aeroplanes’ and ‘The Great Northwestern Hoboes’):
“Great hassle-free, free service. Can’t think why someone did not think of this earlier!”

Ricky Graham - Solo artist and guitarist of ’Shiro’
“Sentric Music are without doubt one of the most promising companies in the UK Music Industry today. Not only are they hard working for their artists, but they produce great results. Things can only get better for Sentric Music as they continue to go from strength to strength.”

Chris Waters of ’Novasouls’
"Sentric are a god-send. They take care of the things that we should care about, but don’t understand. They’ll be more important to you than your Myspace friends count."

Chris Kearney of ’The Aeroplanes’
"Sentric have done everything they promised and more. They have raised our profile with the wider industry and, more importantly, got us cash when we did not even know we were entitled to it! Brilliant!”

Sentric Music Case Study Number 1 - The Aeroplanes

We’re doing a few case studies of Sentric Music artists to show you fine unsigned bands of the UK why you should logging on to www.sentricmusic.com and signing up for our service. First up, Liverpool’s very own ‘The Aeroplanes’:

The Aeroplanes were already a well established band on the Liverpool scene when they joined up to Sentric Music’s service. Dave Pichilingi, head of The Aeroplanes record label (Robot! Records) was introduced to the idea by a friend of his who helped create the company; “Chris approached me with this idea of collecting PRS royalties without any of the hassle and sign up fee, it sounded like a great idea and I was surprised no one had thought of it before so I consulted with the band and we went for it”. Thanks to Sentric Music’s help The Aeroplanes have now received thousands of pounds in royalties in under a year. “We’re very pleased to say the least. We gave Sentric a few details about the gigs we’ve played and the songs we’ve wrote and they’ve managed to get this cash for us without us sacrificing any of our copyright. This service should be seen as essential to all unsigned artists within the UK”

Sentric Music Case Study Number 2 - Ricky Graham
Ricky Graham was receiving regular airplay on various stations in his home town of Derry and being quite savvy towards the music industry he knew he was owed something. “I was aware of PRS and royalties due to musicians for radio airplay and performing live, but it was all very new to me at the time, so I looked to Sentric Music to help me on my way ”. Ricky was told about Sentric Music by a friend of his who knew one of the managers in Liverpool and after a couple of emails decided to take the plunge and join the service. "Sentric have been more than great in bringing me up to speed with the Music business, providing me with distribution on iTunes, and have kept me well informed of royalty payments that I am owed and collected them for me. Sentric also offer a series of great opportunities to get your music heard around the world. They are providing an excellent service for the independent Musician."

Sentric Music Case Study Number 3 - The Balor Knights
The Balor Knights played several gigs per month in their native home town of Sheffield over a couple of years and racked up the odd radio airplay on local and national radio. Howard, The Balor’s front man, heard about Sentric music when one of their staff got in touch with him via myspace “I’m not going to lie, at first I was dubious because of all the scams you get on myspace but after a couple of emails they seemed genuine so we signed up”, after Sentric Music did their magic a few months later they had unlocked £1,140.83p for them. Howard and the Knights were chuffed: “You can tell anyone you like that I almost fell off the chair when the first statement came through!”

Come on now people. What more do evidence do you need from us? Go to www.sentricmusic.com now and join our roster of artists that is now hundreds strong and growing by the day.
