About Me

Hello.
Nice to meet you.
This is my site for blogs, appearance updates and fake online friendship.
I'm Tara Flynn (Tara Flynn II on IMDB.). I'm Irish and (despite its popularity in fiction and as a stage-name) that's the name I was given at birth (Tara being the ancient hill in Meath, Flynn meaning "ruddy cheeked" - or something equally crap).
I'm not the flame-haired character from the airport novel people keep giving me as a present, nor am I the 80s porn "star" from Hot Dallas Nights (reviews say "Tara Flynn was very enthusiastic when called upon." Brilliant).
If you're looking for either of those Taras, or anything to do with Gone With The Wind, you're in the wrong place. If you like Thank God You're Here, Stew or Soupy Norman, welcome.
Now we've got that cleared up, hello again.
Below is some Soupy Norman (I'm the voice of Esther, the blondey Buttevant one).

Pedestrian Crossing

I've lived in England for over a year now, so I'm pretty aware of what goes on. One small thing is still confusing me: the nature of the pedestrian crossing. Just this morning, the zebra changed its s...

Jet-lag

Just got in to Heathrow today. Don't know which way is up. Or East. So I went to NYC. Heard of it? It rocks. They named it twice. Then on to Toronto. Tons of snow. Tons. Also babies to whom I'm relat...

Singing uh-oh uh-oh on a Saturday night (well, morning)

I've just had my pre-dog-walk cup of coffee with the Saturday morning TV on. Could somebody please tell me: what is Kate Nash and why? I downloaded a couple of her "tracks" last year, just to try and ...

Really looking forward to this week's TGYH - our guests are Lee Mack, Richard Wilson (believe it), Claudia Winkleman and Rufus Hound. It's the penultimate one, and should be the finest of craic. If yo...

Getting Fifty

Only Cork people will understand the above heading: if you're stood up in Cork, you say "he/ she gave me fifty!" It has to be pronounced with flaring nostrils, a hint of disbelief and an even stronger...

Coldfall Wood hottie

People have always said to me, "I bet you meet lots of guys when you're out walking the dog." And yes, I do, and mutual pet-ownership is indeed a great conversation-starter. However, in my experience,...
