Eleanor is an actor/singer/songwriter/dancer born in Brisbane (D.O.B. 2/4/1982) and now based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
She showed an interest and talent in music at a very young age and has been singing and performing for as long as she can remember. Her music displays a modern, innovative and contemporary style that is a unique blend of country, blues and pop with a jazz influence.
The development of her distinctive style has been influenced by a wide range of artists which include Alanis Morissette, Celine Dion, Sarah McLaughlin, Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox and Christine Aguilera, but the greatest influence has been her father John Lee.
John is an accomplished singer/guitarist, who was a member of the New World Trio. The NWT had more than 5 hit records in the 60’s and numerous singles that made the top 10 worldwide. John takes an active interest in Ellie’s career encouraging and guiding her development.
Eleanor’s formal training began in high school where her teachers recognized her talent and encouraged her to take lessons at Trend Academy of Dance and the Fame School of Entertainment in Brisbane where she was invited to perform in the end of year cabarets.
She also appeared in the Gympie Muster Star Makers Competition (1998) performing two original songs. She has received several awards which include:

2 Country Music Television Awards 1999 – First place for “No Apology†and “Country Girlâ€
3 Champion of Champions Awards 1999 for which she gained 2nd place.
4 Queensland Sunnie Awards 2000 – Best Female Vocal for “It’s just becauseâ€.
Eleanor released her debut/demo CD, titled “No Apology†in 1997. A song from the CD, “It’s just becauseâ€, gained airplay in Australia and Europe receiving widespread interest and rave reviews.
In 2000-2001 “It’s just because†made the International Play list with Belgium and France requesting the song for its top 50/top10 list.
In 2004, she was invited to perform Aretha Franklin’s “Pink Cadillac†on an independently released Karaoke DVD and she has also recorded a voice commercial for Quest newspapers and performed backing vocals for Dave Reynolds on his 1997 CD titled “Bush Ballard’sâ€.
Her performances have drawn offers from a number of people. Louis Armstrong’s nephew, Herb Johnson, saw Eleanor perform on his recent trip to Australia and offered to take her to America. He was confident she was star material. She was offered a contract with the Krazed Kids group and an offer has also been made to audition for the manager of the John Butler trio, who was looking for new talent.
Eleanor is currently recieving air play and raving reviews in; Belgium - pANIK Radio, Brussels United Kingdom - BRFM Radio, Wales Australia - 88.6 Plenty Valley FM, Melbourne (featured country artist) Australia - 96.5 Inner Fm, Melbourne U.S.A - WTCR radio, KYEleanor is currently in the production of her debut film clip as an unsigned artist for the song "How does it feel" off her debut album. The production will be featured on the Country Music Channel and entered into the country music charts mid june 08.Eleanor’s main goal now, is to get a recording contract. She continues to write and create new songs and is currently working on producing and copywriting her music with a view to publishing the finished products.
