Punky Bruster (A.K.A. a Minor Blip on Devin Townsend's Career Radar) began life as Cryptic Coroner, a death metal band from South Central Poland. Then they realized there was no money in death metal, so they decided to go punk. Within two weeks, Punky Bruster won the prestigious Granny Award for Lifetime Achievement in Punk Rock. COOKED ON PHONICS (1996) is their only release and it's the funniest death metal band-gone-punk album ever.
