About Me

Agonyst began as a two piece experiment in 1998 with Louis Coates and David Perrin. David became too busy to continue in the project, so their collaborative efforts were archived to possibly later be ripped off. After a year or so Louis began writing again and bassist Ben Hiscoke began producing some demo songs with him. In 2006, death metal veteran Matt Hoban joined the band on guitar and then a year later legendary sticksman Zac O'Neil joined on drums. In late 2007, Ben decided to temporarily quit Agonyst bass duty and concentrate on refining our studio sound. And who better to replace him than founding member David Perrin, who rolled back onto the streets of Agonyst like a drunk dad from a round-the-world plopbinge. As our debut album is still in the making, the tracks up at present are all demos, hopefully that wont matter to your delicate ears.
