I write about music....I love it!...Welcome to the wonderfully loud world of Nancy Roxx & the D.

About Me

HI, THANKS FOR FINDING ME. I REVIEW BANDS AND LIVE GIGS!...I'm the live editor for Maps Magazine but also write for UKULA , Total:Spec Magazine and various others here and there. I also have been known to do the odd bits for Music Spotlight, Twisted Ear, NME.com,The London Lite and gigwise.com. Some of my reviews are posted in my blogs (above) if you want to see what I'm made of. It's impossible to say what music I'm "into" because I really have no boundaries regarding my taste. I can say that I have a soft spot for raw sounding bands, new as well as established. I usually write about bands/artists within the realms indie/alternative music and have recently gone into booking bands for gig nights (see Roxx Stock ). I do love a seedy, underground gig. I'm also known for endulging in a bit of dirty house and even dark drum n bass from time to time...I guess I'm nothing more than a dirty bass bitch! There are just soooo many good artists from across the board that really need to be heard, so this is what I hope to achieve. I've been backpacking through South America twice, I'm a bit of a fan of wondering the world and seeing what happens... I have an English degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law, but it's only ever been about the music for me. I'm working in London, karate training and going to more than my fair share of gigs. I LOVE IT! I hope you enjoy my words. You can find out some more about me by googling my name. All the best, keep lovin' the good tunes!
