James Mueller

James A. Mueller grew up in Brighton Michigan and began his musical studies at age five, taking guitar lessons from a local studio in Brighton, Michigan. At age nine he began piano lessons, as well as drum lessons out of Ann Arbor Michigan with AASO member Mr. John Dorsey, where he laid a foundation for his future studies as a musician and performing percussionist. Today he is a performing drummer/percussionist and holds a music degree from Central Michigan University. As a former member of the CMU Percussion Studio under the direction of Dr. Andrew Spencer, and many of its' fine performance groups, he developed his love music. Over the years he has performed with many groups and artists such as the "William Wyatt Band", the "Atticus Finch Jazz Quintet", folk/rock artist "Mike Schuette", Gary Puttman of "Dread Zeppelin", alternative rock band "Dressed for Dresden", punk/pop rock band "Five Star Loser", as well as the CMU Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Drumline, and many others who have helped him develop himself as an overall musician and a solid player. Artists he is currently working with include accoustic/rock artist "Jake Coco", singer/songwriter "Rob Michaels", singer/songwriter "Alexx Calise", singer/songwriter "Andrea Marchant". His ultimate goal is to contribute to the best of his ability to compliment the song, and in the process become the most versatile player he can be, comfortable with any style or musical environment. He is currently in the Los Angeles area and available for projects, recording, lessons, live performance, and touring. He is also currently working on and off with other various local artists and bands, and pursuing any drumset projects he can contribute to. I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
