Living the Life Examined

...You have no idea.

About Me

I think the worst thing about death would be missing what is going to happen tomorrow, or the day after that, or the day after that ...Give me a 72 hour day & a 225 year lifetime, please, for one lifetime is not enough.I've been the Kelly Slater of Couch Surfers & the Jack Kerouac of Assholes but I'm trying to be a better person now, ... I really am. ...I wish there was a pill that'd enable your hair to grow white.Born & raised in Melbourne, Florida (beachside) I've called home in Tampa, St. Augustine, Orlando, Atlanta, Athens, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle & London & have couch surfed for weeeks on end in so many fucken places & have accumulated so many fucken stories & have met so many characters & friends that I feel truly blessed & will even state that in some ways, I've lived a very romantic life.
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

Literature; bohemians, memiors, the beats, all bohemians, all art movements, sex, working-out, the beach, talking, spoken-word, writing, I write everyday, anything bizarre, unusual, eccentric, strange; I generally want to be a part of. Sub-cultures of all kinds! Performance art, Story-telling, I'm open to all new experiences & women of all kinds, I also want to visit Argentina & learn to dance the tango while drinking red wine eating steak & making love to dark women. I meditate daily & am quite passionate about it but then again, I'm rather passionate about everything. I genuinely find just about everybody interesting one way or the other. ......

I'd like to meet:

Other people with tales to tell & live down. Artistic literary sexy uninhibited nonjudgemental funny unique "anything bizarre, eccentric & unusual -I WILL DEFINATELY LIKE" where are the fellow freaks, the fellow hipsters, the fellow eccentrics, fellow creative types, fellow bohemian, fellow free-spirits! I'm an artistic intellectual in a thug's body, I have 10 tattoos, I work out everyday & use to box & full on believe people need to fully develop their mental physical spiritual sides to full effect. ...Life is not a riddle to be solved but rather a reality to be experienced. -Kierkegard.Mostly, tho, -mostly, tho ...I just want LOVE. Seriously, I just want LOVE. And to be happy. There really are no other substitutes in life. Really.Paul Bowles said, "I'd like to meet everybody in this world at least once."I agree.......

Music:

I go thru phases; I've gone thru reggae, ska phases, Punk Rock, Jazz, Country, Alt-country, Alternative, grunge, acoustic rock, sleazy listening, lounge, trance, chill, house, classic rock, Euro-pop,Southern Rock, just about everything; while I do like some Hip-Hop & I do like some Rap -I avoid whiggers, but don't want to say that I hate them because I do have some whigger friends. Use to be into Goth & still like the music. I also dig singers who have bad singing voices like Tom Waits, The Pogues & I personally think Wesley Willis is GOD. If you don't know who that is, look him up. Nick Cave, too!......

Movies:

Man on a Train, Wings of Desire, Fallen Angels, Chunking Express, A Pure Formality, Cinema Paradiso, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Every Which Way But Loose, Napolean Dynamite, Happy Together, (& way too many more to mention right now, will come back to it.) Cool Hand Luke. SLC Punk, The Station Agent and so many others..........

Television:

F*** tv. Tho I do like all those damn documentaries that MSNBC shows on prisons, they must show a different prison documentary every fucken night!!

Books:

I go thru a book a wk, so this is hard to choose but firmly believe that if I never read the two novels "On the Road" & "The Razor's Edge" back-to-back when I was a teenager, my life would've turned out differently.

Heroes:

The greatest compliment I ever got in my life was when Sonny Shaman, a now-deceased San Francisco underground legend (& notorious drug dealer,) said to a mutual friend, "I'll tell you, that Zeke, -he fucks up a lot but he's out there living his life. Everyone is born, not everyone lives & that Zeke character is ALIVE, way fucken alive!" I don't fuck up much anymore but at the time I was pretty reckless & crazy. It's still a compliment.
