Terance

I am human, nothing that is human is alien to me.

About Me

..Originally from NYC, the best way to begin a description of me is by mentioning that my biggest interest and motivating force is personal development. How I go about that leads to a fairly interesting life. Entrepreneur, musician, martial artist, once minister and preacher of a religion I no longer subscribe to, fought against the gay marriage amendment, pagan, meditator, mystic, masseur, all around handyman, bodyguard, artist, and really good cook. These are some of the labels you could hang on me. And if you didn't call me a freak, I'd be offended...

My Interests

Personal development, Sedona Method, writing, energy work, conversations, martial arts, dancing, massage.

I'd like to meet:

The eternally curious. People who are constantly learning. People trying to figure out what makes people tick.Seth Godin, Guy Kawasaki, Richard Bach"Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies, The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

Music:

Rock, techno, goth, ambient, classical. Handel rocks!

Movies:

In my opinion Kung Fu Hustle is simply the greatest movie ever made. ;-

Television:

No thanks

Books:

Now we're talking. I've got a library of several hundred books. Very little fiction. Self-help, spirituality, massage, anatomy, erotic studies, paganism, sociology, energy work, eastern religion. Ken Wilber, Deepak Chopra, Anthony Robbins, Richard Bach, David Deida, Marcus Aurelius, Stephen Covey

Heroes:

Autodidacts. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers, Walt Disney, Sylvester Stallone (for sticking to his dream and for getting his dog back, what a story! If you don't know it, ask me), Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Michael Dell, to name a few.None finished college, most didn't finish high school. All changed the world.

Thoughts on Goth culture

I was just looking at something that says goths are gloomy and sullen. It made me wonder how we got that rep. I'm a happy guy. Most goths I know tend to be happy and optimistic. Why do we have th...

My take on Deity

So, what's my take on God? Glad you asked. In almost every religion, the preachers will say something to the effect of "God is ineffable, great and huge, God cannot be understood by mere human minds"...
