About Me

For over 25 years SIF has tamed the insatiable appetite of the region's film enthusiasts, by offering vital nourishment in the form of facilities, production, training, and other healthy vegan snacks.
Facilities:
Deep within Sheffield's Cultural Industries Quarter and opposite a popular lap dancing club, SIF HQ houses a large studio, editing suites, a green room, and a stock of broadcast standard equipment. Hotshot clients include BBC, Granada TV, Warp Films, and Universal.
Production:
Like a film orientated Samaritan service, SIF offers advice and support to both established and emerging filmmakers. We all need someone to talk to.
This year alone SIF has generated over 22 in-house productions, ranging from broadcast work for Channel 4 to community focused short films.
SIF is working in conjunction with the CMA and other partners to develop 'CREATE TV', a Sheffield channel offering programme making ability to the viewers it serves. At last.
SIF is also working with Sheffield City Council on a project where moving image is used as a tool for eDemocracy and ePetitioning. In doing so SIF acts as a revolutionary vanguard battling to gain true democracy for the disillusioned masses. (Yea you heard.)
Training:

In an effort to expose this blatant lie, SIF offers valuable training to a spectrum of users, from one off short projects for beginners, to professional development. All extremely worth knowing.
