At Very Serious Film Night we find our lives are made just that bit sweeter by watching great films ostentatiously smoking French cigarettes and sharing a beer and a conversation with like minded souls. So remove yourself from the east end rat race for one night and enjoy the comfort of strangers and beautiful film.

Very Serious Film Night is a weekly film night dedicated to the viewing and appreciation of Auteur Cinema. Two films by the same director will be screened per night. One starting 6pm; the second starting at 8.30. It will be free before 8 and 3 pounds after. Drinking and smoking is permitted and encouraged in true auteur style.

Very Serious Film Night aims are not fixed we are trying to create an unified film based community in Shoreditch and East London; a community which will hopefully grow according to the necessity that the lack of such a space has created in the area; one which will grow into self-sufficiency, promoting and divulging its own output and identity.
