God is great, but sometimes life ain't good
And when I pray it doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway.
Sometimes it seems this world's gone crazy and it's hard to believe
that tomorrow will be better than today

I am active in progressive politics in my city of Syracuse NY. I'm a Christian, a poet, a writer, and a music-lover. Fine literature keeps me interested in life. If it weren't for art, I wouldn't get through. Music is also at the center of my life. I sing, I play, I listen, I bob my head to the beat, I tap my fingers, I dance with joy. I see this world as a beautiful place. In the barren and forgotten places where beauty cannot seem to grow, I envision peace and justice - and I live just to see that vision become a reality. I don't believe that I was brought to this garden without a having a responsibility to tend to it. When I want to read a great story, I get out my keyboard and write one. BLOG: Iddybud Journal
