About Me

At the age of twelve Ramon started playing the guitar and enjoyed two years of classical lessons. As puberty came along he started to get more and more into different styles of music. His main interests were punk-rock, grunge, blues and metal. He formed his own punk band "Drunk in Public" with some friends, with whom he played a lot. But after three years his punk interest wore off and he got into technical metal such as: Dream Theater and Sympony X. He started a progmetalband called 'Currency of Pain' and later "Desunt Cetera". With this band he played a lot of gigs throughout the Dutch club circuit.A few years later he got interested in jazz music. Which is everything but strange, he had heard both his uncle and his grandmother play jazz music while he was growing up.In 2006 he decided he wanted to make music for a living and study at the Conservatory. That same year he got accepted at the Codarts Rotterdam Jazz Academy. Where he's having lessons with Paul Hock, Ed Verhoeff and Ronald Schmitz. He has participated in workshops with great names, such as: John Abercrombie, Jesse van Ruller, Maarten van der Grinten and Eef Albers. Right now Ramon is putting a lot of time into his band Sunday Green. Aside of all this he's working as a session/studio musician and a guitar teacher.Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com!
