Igee Dieudonne started playing around the age of 9 after growing up in a very musical family.
His father studied classical guitar at a local conservatory and his mother: although she never had the chance to play an instrument, was very musical as well.
The first time he had touched a guitar was when he was around 2 years old, and after that moment he used almost everything to create sounds on to express himself musically.
He got his first guitar when he was 9 and started playing it instantly and learned how to play guitar by teaching himself by hearing and feeling the music. Now at the age of 17 he is trying to expand his horizon and for that he found the fusion music.
With it's high variety of scales and rhythms it is the perfect style of music to evolve yourself as a guitar player.Right now he is searching for any top artist to go on tour with because this would be the best learning experience he could ever wish for and a ticket in to Berklee.
His sound would be described as round and vocal like and with many influences like Mike Stern, Hiromi Uehara, Dave Weckl, John Scofield, Steve Vai and Pat Metheny he is hoping to achieve some great things in the future either as a solo-artist or as a accompaniment for any other artist.Igee says: I think the most important thing about playing any instrument is that the feel should be natural, it should just sound good.
For me there is no need to base everything on theoretics but it is important that you know what you are doing.
Sound: for me, is the number one thing. If someone can play the most beautifull, technical and complex things in the world but doesn't in my oppinion have a great feel or tone I won't be impressed. I rather hear a bad guitar player with great musical and tonal skills then hear a amazing technical player with a thin and dry sound. He also says that it is important to use as little effects as possible: I think a sound should be in the player not in the amount of effects he uses. The only effects i use are Reverb, Chorus, Occasionally some delay and very rarely a wah pedal. The Gear he uses excists of 2 Rivera/Fender Superchamp amplifiers. 1 Rivera TBR-1 amplifier, 2 Mesa/Boogie EVM 12L Thiele loudspeakers. Effects: Yamaha E1010, TC-Electronics Chorus/Flanger, Bos volume pedal and a Cry Baby WahWah.Guitars: PRS Artist Archtop. Fender Telecaster Custom: featuring a Limited Edition Gibson Logo mini-humbucker in neck position, And a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder on bridge position.
Gibson Les Paul Featuring a Bigsby Vibrato and a Seymour Duncan Soapbar P90 in bridge position and a Seymour Duncan vintage output mini-humbucker.With al this, why not try to be a great guitar player: he says.
