Twiggy

Hi, I’m Lesley Lawson. I was and still am known as Twiggy because I’m so thin! I was born on September 19th, 1949 in Neasden, England. It is North of London. I was a model in the 6o’s, I have been in many Broadway Shows, and Lot of Movies. I’ll tell you that I’m a lover of dogs any type they are all cute! Well, I will tell you a bit about me before I went into the spot light! I, Lesley grew up like any normal child would in the 50’s with my two sisters Shirley and Viv. At school fellow students would make fun of me because I had an extremely thin figure, they would call me names like ‘sticks’ and ‘twigs’ that’s how I got my name Twiggy. In the 60’s I, Lesley was a true ‘mod’, although I could not afford to buy the designer outfits sold in the boutiques of London, I would still keep up with all the general fashion trends of the era. It was Tony who told me I had the looks to be a model, I defiantly had the face but unfortunately I was only 5 foot 6 where as most models are extremely tall often over 6 foot! But that was not going to stop me, because I became a model, and a damn good one to! But that is Just a we bit about Me!! Now I am on a show called Americas Top Model! With Tyra Banks, I'm one of the Judges.
