Defected Minds: We are a duo from South Nottingham comprising of Emcee/Producer, DESCRY [AKA JC] and DJ/Producer, GRIFT. We have been into Hip Hop since we were about nine, and started rapping and deejaying a couple of years later. Influenced by the UK hip hop scene we began to record rapping and scratching over instrumental LP's. Over the years we have got more into the production side of hip hop and after developing new skills we began to take the production and recording of our sounds more seriously, so instead of just listening to hip hop we began to create it.
