Power Metal from Austria? Is this possible? YES!
ART OF FEAR, the most hopeful Power Metal band from Austria. No question. Starting in 1997 as a trio they grew to a foursome in 2001 playing their uncompromising and honest sound at mulitple concerts as well as on two EPs and two full-length albums.
Since vocalist Thomas Cassan joined the band and the successful “Pride Of Creation“ EP their international reputation has developed very positive. Excellent reviews in major magazines (“Rock Hardâ€, “Heavy Oder Was!?â€, etc.) as well as in numerous webzines and their contribution to three underground-samplers confirm that statement.
The next cd “Master of Pain“ in 2003 was recorded in only four days. Live. Hardly any overdubs. The straight power of a maturated band that has found their own sound never denying the roots demonstrated in 10 songs. And again excellent reviews emphasised the class of the band – but still they were heroes of the unsigned.During 2005 ART OF FEAR hit the studio to record ten diverisfied songs of pure metal perfectly produced, packed with a cover extraordinaire for the album FACING HELL. But because of business affairs the release was delayed for some time, during which Thomas Cassan quit the band due to musical and occupational reasons. But with Daniel Khan another excellent singer joined ART OF FEAR and in September 2007 finally FACING HELL was released via Rebeat Music.
