Extrapole was formed by Christophe Cabanié (aka Lux) and Jean-Jacques Cunnac. It is the artistic union of two childhood friends with different backgrounds but both share common inspirations and interests in music research. Lux used to be a record shop owner, and is well known in Southern France in the DJ mix scene. He has gained vast knowledge in the electronic music field, therefore building up a rich background. JJ has travelled the world in the video clip and TV environment, and has developed an interest for both images and music. During his childhood, he trained in classical piano and got back into music through audio-visual compositions. "Since our childhood we have shared the same passion for music and styles associated with the new wave era, 80s rock, and 90s pop and electro. Extrapole is a recent project which came naturally to us. Our musical research is aiming to create a visual, ethereal and oneiric environment. Extrapoles music is said to be a mix of pop, electro, new wave and lounge. In any case, we hope that it will be listened to and enjoyed by as many people as possible.
