SQUADRON SCRAMBLE!!!

About Me

THE LEGEND OF I MONSTER IN B FLAT MINOR...Bleeps and burps were made for five long ears. Some of these early works aided and abetted by sundry members including the late, legendary and sadly missed Squid. We came to the point of bleep fatigue. We changed our name from The Anderson Shelter* to I Monster (for no reason) and in 1997 attempts at proper song writing began. Some hilarious, some hideous and some helpless, but it was fresh and fun. The fruits of this period ripened into the harvest festival that became our first album, 'These Are Our Children'. This, a self funded (almost) venture was given away in the hope of happiness. We were proud parents. We were happy. Dean had developed his studio into a rather busy workshop for visiting troubadours and the like. Work with Parrot (Sweet Exorcist, The Step) and Jason Buckle (National Bandit, Relaxed Muscle) grew into the formation of The All Seeing I. The trio stormed the national hit parade with singles 'The Beat Goes On', 'Walk Like A Panther' and 'The First Man In Space' and followed with a long player 'Pickled Eggs And Sherbert'. I Monster lurked in the shadows, no not The Shadows. Jarrod became a member of the staff at Record Collector shop in Sheffield. Much progressive rock was acquired. Cosmic, dad. A re-work of 'Daydream In Blue' from the 'Children' album was one of three initial releases on Sheffield label Cercle Records. It sold like hot cakes, so we baked some more. Copies were smuggled in to Radio One and it was premiered on Nemone's show. We were offered a deal by a Sony affiliate, which we quickly signed and 'Daydream In Blue' was released, once again. Since then we have released the 'Neverrodoreven' album, twice, and a handful of singles (see our full discography on the official website...if you must). The leg end carries on...*This is total lies.
