Hi, I am JOJO (short for Josie, but mom really didn't like Josie) and I'm a 4 year old "shorty" Jack Russell Terrier. My mom and dad adopted me from a family when I was 8 months old. The family really didn't have time for me, but I have it much better now. Mom and dad spent tons of time with me. My nicknames consist of: JOJO bean, Crazy Jo, Crazy Jack, Happy Jack, JOJO Jumping Bean, Jumping Jack, Jumping Jackass and many more...
I love to play with my frisbee, it is my favorite toy & passtime....that's how I got the nick-name "jumping jackass russell" (because I get so crazy I just keep jumping up and down like a pogo stick). I also love to play soccer, but it gets to be hard to play with the ball since I always insist on popping it!!
At times I can be called a "Crazy Jack" because it's like I become posessed and I run all over the house back and forth jumping on or over anything that gets in my way.
I love when my mom gets me new fuzzy squeak toys, I just HAVE TO tear them up to get to the squeaker!! Squeak toys rule!!!! I do have a few favorite toys that I haven't torn up yet though...one is a "kitty cat," (well mom keeps telling me it's a kitty cat, but it's really a ferret...I wont tell her I know if you don't).
I love to sleep in bed with mom and dad, but they take up too much room. I try to push them off but they are bigger than me so it's hard. Sometimes they roll over and squish me. I try to tell them I'm there but it's tough being a little dog!! When dad's alarm goes off in the morning I wait for him to move to hit the alarm and then I steal his space...it's warmer than mom's!
My mom makes me go to work with her everyday....it's better than staying home alone (but I wont tell her that. I just pretend like I don't want to go). At work I like to steal mom's chair all the time (and she's silly enough to let me do it). She ends sitting on the small end of the seat! Silly Humans...I've got them all trained well!!! The rest of my work day consists of sleeping, tormenting the employees for treats, as well as terriorizing the UPS Man & the Mail Man for treats (they know better then to come in without them or it's "ankles here I come."), then it's time for a little more sleeping....Jacks really do sleep.
The best part of the day is when mom tells me it's time to go home.... that means a short ride home catching the wind in my face and if it's raining catching rain drops. Then it's FRISBEE TIME!!! I play till I can't play no more and then I recooperate and play some more. LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Some of my other favorite things to do are: chase motorcycles & big trucks (only if we're inside mom's truck), dad on the lawn mower, hunting for squirrels, rabbits, birds, and most of all chipmunks (the little suckers are hard to catch...I've got my sites on one in particular). I've gotten 1 squirrel and 1 bird (Ha! let them try to run). I will get that pesky chipmunk and the dopey rabbit one day!
I love to go with mom horseback riding. It's my favorite way to get excercise. Got to keep this muscular shape for all of my boyfriends, you know. The horses are fun to play with because I chase them and then they chase me, but I won't let them get that big nose too close, ya know? When I walk through the woods, I get to search and sniff out all types of vermin, but I have to keep an eye on mom and those horses...don't want them to get lost, ya know?
Mom thought I was bored (ha what a joke...I think she's bored) so she signed me up for dog agility classes. I'm the oldest dog in the class, so I have to keep the youngsters inline! I'm trying to teach the younsters bad habits like how to train thier humams...these kids, these days! I've got to keep my eye on that German Shepard Rex he's the quite one! Agility class is fun! I get to jump a hurdle for treats and sometimes I pretend I don't know what I'm doing so mom will bribe me with treats or even my frisbee. They tell me they are going to do away the treats once I learn what to do so I pretend that I don't remember....silly humans!
My only issue is this stuff they call thunder & lightning. Before it comes I get nervous. When it gets here I start getting scared then start shaking (shaking so hard I could vibrate the house!) These humans like to sit around and watch the lightning...ARE THEY CRAZY?!?!??! I just want to hide but they wont let me.
All in all I love my humans, they take me eveywhere they go,even on vaction, except when they go to this place called Lake George. Who the hell is George anyway?? Why doesn't he like dogs? He must me a cat. Someday, somehow, someway, I will meet this george, because I am a terrier and I don't give up. Overall they are pretty good to me...I guess I will keep them around for a while. Let's see how it goes (I'll keep you informed!!)
