Rob McKenzie has been playing music since the age of 7. Classically trained culiminating in an order of merit award at a piano soloist concert, Rob shifted his interest to rock music and synthesizer music.Playing in the rehearsal sessions for Dunkerque's eponymous debut EP, Rob developed a deep interest in 80's synthesizer music.Rob combined this with his love of 70s and 80s classic rock and produced his debut album in 1989 "Synth Knew Much".Widening his musical horizon, Rob self-taught the guitar in the mid-90s. A session providing musical direction to The Croftsmen during the production of their "Mr Ginger" album renewed Rob's interest in recording.Currently, Rob is writing and recording tracks echoing the classic rock of yesterday but combining it with current synthesizer and sequencing technology.Watch this space...
