About Me

Oh, I’ll get to my stuff just below this little bit of info..Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m happy to announce Live In Anaheim is released. The first release is on Edel, and it’s a double live CD, available only in Europe. But in April Edel (in Europe) and in May immergent (US and rest of world) will be releasing Live In Anaheim on DVD. Immergent’s release will be a DVD of the entire show, plus a bonus CD containing most of the show. The Edel double CD set contains the entire show. Below is a banner for the immergent release, and if you’re in Europe you can get the CD now. The audio was recorded by Westwood One, and mixed/produced by the fabulous Nick Blagona (also in 5.1). This product kicks ass. Buy it.
The set list that night included a few Purple tracks and others never before performed live, and was as follows:
Second Sight
No Laughing in Heaven
Into the Fire
Hang Me Out To Dry
Have Love Will Travel
Wasted Sunsets
Not Responsible
No Worries
River’s Of Chocolate (a/k/a "G Jam")
Unchain Your Brain
Bluesy Blue Sea
Moonshine
Texas State of Mind
Sugar Plum
When a Blind Man Cries
Men of War
Drum Solo
Smoke On The Water
Trouble
Knocking at Your Back Door
Check out the Amazon.com page for the upcoming immergent release (USA & ROW, excluding Europe)
Check this link out for info on the Gillan’s Inn Tour Edition -- nope it’s not a live CD/DVD, but rather a special edition of Gillan’s Inn, with different bonus footage, some supplied by fans, some we shot on the tour bus and back stage...a different running order of tracks, some live bonus tracks, including one old Purple song never performed on stage...and lots more...
In A Heartbeat is in stores NOW. Get it HERE for $9.99
In a Heartbeat is also available on iTunes and Amazon.com, among many other web locations. Also, below is a Mystore containing select tracks from my Animal Planet days. This is the ONLY place these songs are available as the records are out of print.

Give a listen to Broadcast Asylum, pirate radio at it’s finest, supporting indie music far and wide, including yours truly :).
Not really a bio just an introduction of sorts...
Hi there, and thanks for stopping by.
Yep, this is me, Michael Lee Jackson. I’m a rock and roll guitar player/singer/song writer, an attorney, and a manager, among other things. I am seriously peripatetic, with an insatiable thirst for travel, new experiences, and wreaking every bit of enjoyment I can out of my life. Having said that, there are few things I enjoy more than quality time and conversations with good friends and family, no matter where, whether at home or some quite dive bar with some character. What else? I believe strongly in making regular deposits at the karma bank, cause you never know when you might need a withdrawal....Sure, there’s lots more, but you..ll just have to get to know me ;).
Check out the "Who the f*&k am I" blog for some thoughts on the 2006 Ian Gillan tour or go to www.gillansinn.com and www.caramba.com for more details.
My label started this site for me to support my new record, "In a Heartbeat" but I’ve been having a blast here meeting new people from all over the world, and getting back in touch with some old friends. I should say something about the record, but there is more about it in the aforementioned "Who the f*&k am I" blog...but suffice to say I’m very proud of this one. Some great rock and roll and good songs on here, superbly produced by Nick Blagona. Ian Gillan sang back up on a few tracks, and lead on "Have Love Will Travel." What else can I tell ya? Check it out, and if you like it, let me know, and hell, there’s a link below where you can buy it at a reasonable price.
I try to answer most of my mail, so feel free to drop me a line if you’re inclined, whether you want to rant about current politics (I’m probably with you on that...), talk music, law or just say hello. If I don’t get right back to you, please don’t be insulted. I’ll do my best, but to say that I’m profoundly busy would be an understatement.
I have been lucky enough to have made some amazing friends on myspace, and I’m quite thankful for that and flattered by many kind words I’ve received about my music. I hope everyone out there has a stunning 2007 filled with more than an abundance of that which stirs your delightful souls.
Cheers for now, Michael
Here are a few videos from the Gillan tour. Enjoy! -- The sound is definitely a bit squiffy, but hey, they’re bootlegs. ;)."Texas State of Mind" -- Live in Milwaukee"Have Love Will Travel" live in MontrealTo check out more videos and pics from the Gillan’s Inn Tour, visit the Tour Section of GillansInn.com.
